I'm trying to set up 3rd party SIP phone with this feature - SIP Handler controlled SIP terminal (as opposed to "SP Controlled SIP terminal") on the 8500. (I'm running software S8).
I've already a few hundred SP controlled SIP terminals working just fine, and I have plenty of licenses for 3rd party SIP terminals.
However, following the manual - to the best of my abilities - doesn't yield success for the SIP Handler Controlled SIP Terminal.
Maybe someone who got this working before can do a quick rundown on what to do.
My main question is on the AUACL/AUACN commands. To me it really looks like a guess work. Or at least I don't know where to find what to program there.
Second, there is a very confusing note that if I use SP controlled SIP terminals AND SIP Handler controlled SIP terminals on the same system, then the SIP server port can not be the same for both features. But it's unclear whether I have to change the default port in ADTM for Internal SIP Handler Signaling, or I just program the SIP phone to use a different port? (I did enable LAN 1 IP Address 2 (ACT) with an IP address).
I did go through the programming of IP-DTG and that's up and running (at least it shows up in the IPAN listup)
The softphone I'm using is:
Grandstream analog gateway (I've used these in SP controlled SIP terminal mode with no problem)
Linphone softphone (I've used these in SP controlled SIP terminal mode with no problem)
Zoiper (I've used these in SP controlled SIP terminal mode with no problem)
