NEED ADVICE ON USING WORD DOC TEXT IN AUTOCAD

IN AUTOCAD MTEXT DOESN'T LINE UP STRAIGHT IF YOU ARE NUMBERING TEXT IN NOTES SO I'AM THINKING OF USE WORD (&MAYBE EVEN EXCEL IF I GET AMBITIOUS) TO DO SOME TEXT. WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE OUT THERE USE IT? THERE ARE A FEW THINGS i WAS WONDERING IF IT INSERT CORRECTLY: TXT HIEGHT AND SUCH.

SO IF ANYONE SOME ADVICE THEY WOULD'T MIND SHARING I WOULD BE MOST THANKFULL!!

Hi KatKar,
To do what you want is pretty simple. Open the word.doc and copy the text you are after. Then, go into the drawing you want and open then execute the mtext command. Simply paste the text into the editor and it should be all aligned and formatted correctly - change the font, size and colour in the mtext editor. Click ok as you would and it should all be there. It's the same with Excel or anything else - just cut'n'paste..

Dear renegade and katcar,
I hope you both are still using this site. I am having problems plotting word documents as OLE objects in R14 and 2000. I came across your threads and thought I would give your suggestions a shot. It worked better than an OLE object, but when I paste the copied word doc. into the mtext editor, I lose all the margins and format. Do you have any suggestions?
