need advice for a door answering solution

Our non-profit has a secure door (already with an electic doorstrike) that we would like staff to be able to open from their desks. Our thoughts are to install a webcam in the corridor so they could "see" who was at the door and then release the doorstrike but hitting a button on the phone.

I found this product that works for a Norstar system but we have an Option 11.

Has anyone done this before or could offer some advice? We're trying to keep our costs low.

friend of mine has done that, says its a pain, need to use a trunk card, relay switch, speed dial key with ACOD, but yeah, can be done.
