The current bare-bones PCs my company has given us don't have an internal PCMCIA slot to read these cards. I have a card reader with a CF slot and can use a PCMCIA adapter to snap a CF card into and that works fine, BUT... if I want to read/write to PCMCIA card already onsite, I can't. I tried to buy a card reader to read PCMCIA cards off the shelf and it appears they don't exist, find that hard to believe.

Any (hopefully inexpensive) suggestions?

Thank you all!

Thank you for looking, dj4020. I checked the link, it didn't look like it supported the ability to read a PCMCIA card, unless I misread it.

I'm afraid this is going to be a needle in a haystack for me. This is what happens when those who don't work in the field order the laptops for field techs and don't ask what resources we need to do our job. Oh well!

I did another search using Bing and found several links out there some cheap some expensive.

THANK YOU!, yyrkroon. That's exactly the kind of device I need. I don't think $55 is too bad (if my company will pay for it).

thanks again!
