An HP SureStore DAT8. My 43P can use that SCSI drive... using text mode SMS (by F4 key at boot) I can check, rewind, eject the tapes. When I install AIX on the machine, it sees "[tt]Other SCSI Tape Drive[/tt]" on location [tt]04-B0-00-2,0[/tt], without conflicts, but AIX can't read or write to tape. Can't even rewind or eject the tape using [tt]tctl -f /dev/rmt0 rewoff[/tt].
