Need a good Zip program

I need a ZIP prog that will do subdirectories on Debian.

Have tried PKZIP and ZIP (info-zip) but they generate cant load library libc. errors.

UNZIP works fine but not ZIP.

The archiver I personally most like is rar (winrar for M$) which is also available for linux without the gui -->

Most dists of Linux seem to come with zip and unzip which work for us and appears fully compatible with all our other M$ based zip programs.

try bzip. search for it at google.com/linux . a buddy tells me it works great
