Hi,

I used to use AIX and it had a lovely little command called preat which for the last 10 seconds would give you how much time each user process had had on the cpu.

I'm now on Digital UNIX V4.0F which doesn't have a command called preat, is there one like it called something else?

There is a something that might be "fitted" to what you need. Have you used the TopCPU application? Using the "s" command in the application you will get the result you seek!

It is included in the Open Source Software Collection CD that came in the OS's box. Or you can download it from the web.

Search for "Top version 3.5beta5, Copyright (c) 1984 through 1996, William LeFebvre"

I'm not sure we have this installed on the box. Where and what would it be called??

It would execute like this
#top

Search your bin directory or the system for this file. If you dont find it, then install it from the cd I mentiones above:Open Source Software Collection CD.

Or search in for TopCPU.
