Hi guys i am trying to deploy analog telephone to my admin staff because i am all out of digital line and license. i need a analog phone with a display for the admin personnel. What model analog phone could i use? also i have some T7208 i think those or for another Nortel PBX is it possible to use those? are they analog phones?

The analogs with display will not give you the callers name info without a class modem card and licenses and the T series phones are for Norstars.

those things are pretty costly and they eat up a lot of switch space. Probably be cheaper to get more licenses...unless you have an old software release like me (Rls 19)

yeah that's apart of the problem, i have rls 4

Well if it's for Admin, I would say somebody lower on the totem pole is going to have their digital phone replaced with a new shiny analog phone. Tell me about it I have a Opt61 running Rls 19. This system will never be updated.

Trason, you must work for Government. I'm in the same boat. Never money to upgrade the PBX. Takes a crisis to make that happen.

Hey guys a you saying that Rls 4.0 is a new version than Rls 19? I must agree with you, some one is gonna get a nice analog phone..

hey guy what do you think of the m9216, it seems to be meridian with display and i notice that it uses a power adpater.

Northern Telecom sold their analog phone business to Aastra MANY years ago. As stated above, you are going to need CLASS modem card and licenses to get calling number on ANY analog phone.

The NT8D09 Analog Message Waiting Line Card does not support any displays. Your current core and network hardware for the Opt61c and release is end of life. Any upgrade would require it to be migrate to CS1000 rel 7.6. The only thing you get to keep is the digital line card (NT8D02) , Universal Trunk card (NT8D14) and T8D09 Analog Message Waiting Line Card.
