I am using CR2008 and trying to create one large barcode (DataWorks Bar 39) which should contain 3 fields with TAB between.
Also, each field is to an asterisk before and after, no spacing.
Is it possible? If so, how?

The layout is as such:

*{JobNumber}* *{AssemblySequence}* *{OperationSequence}*
There must be a TAB between each of these fields.

This is coming from Epicor 9.05.702A system.

I've played with this a little. It turns out that in 3 of 9 barcode there is a character for Tab, so if you insert a TAb in the string you get barcode that represents a Tab.

According to my "show all CHR codes" report, chr(28) is a non-printing character (I'm using the font Free3of9).

Try putting several of those between each piece, the easy way would be to create a formula (we'll call it @Tab) which is like: chr(28)&chr(28)&chr(28) . . .

Then make your main formula:"*"&{field1}&"*"&{@Tab}&"*"&{field2}&"*"&{@Tab} . . .
