Nedd Advice,having 4 Servers

Here in our new company,4 Servers.
1)win2000 Master Active Dir. Run
2)win2000 run ISA\Symantec
3)user Data storage
4)win2000 Oracal server data base all data back and storage HDD.

I Need some Advice that:

- we have storage divice with hdd, we want to make raid advise us which raid will be usefull
- in front there will be two oracle application/database server will connect. where storage will have 2 partitions,
one for managing apps and other is for database so just advise us how is linux with oracle on raid working, also what complexities we will face which version is more
stable,durable,reliable as we worked earlier on linux redhat advanced server 2.1 now there is 4 will it be advisable.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having a bit of trouble understanding your question, but if you're asking about RAID then the general rule is to use RAID5 for systems that need high performance and fault tolerance, and use RAID1 for systems that only need fault tolerance. For database servers I usually recommend RAID5, as well as for any other server that will be heavily utilized.

Regarding the Linux questions, you would probably get better answers asking in a Linux forum.
