Nec Vangard Voice Mail

Hello,
I have just baught a used NEC Vangard voice mail unit. I have a manual for it but the unit was not defaulted by the original owner so I don't have the admin password. I have the default password that is in the manual but I need to know how to default the unit to so I can login through the COM port. The default password has obviously been changed. I am new to the site so I don't know if there is a way you can email or private message me this info.
