I have a client that has an older NEC system, with the old sets electra elite 12 button. When you go off hook it picks line 1 all the time and I need it to go to intercom instead. How can we do this easily. I do not know the Nec programming. Also they want a headset for one extension. I am use to the Nortel so can we hook up a headset thru the reciever port like on most sets. Is there a release button to hang up or do we need to lift the reciever. Any help is appreciated...

Programming is done from extensions 101 or 102. Off line procedure is - ICM, on/off, #, *, 0
Prime line pickup is memory block 1 (DSS button 1), addresses 01 - 48 (key pad). Each corresponds to an extension number. Any line keys lit up represent CO lines. Nothing lit up should default back to ICM as the prime line.
