Trying to figure out if our NEC SV9100 has the ability to set the outgoing caller ID name. Is there somewhere in WebPro to do this or is it all dependent on the carrier? Right now we are showing up as 'potential spam' on some carriers or as an ex-employee's name. We would just like to have it show our company name but no idea if that's something I can do on the system or through the SIP provider or if it's up to the end users's carrier. The SIP provider recommended registering on hiya.com but it keeps coming up saying it can't verify our business name. A lot of customers aren't answering our calls because of this so I'd like to be able to provide a solution. Thanks!

Only works on PRI (15-01-10). SIP was never added.

Get a new phone number to publish as your main number... forward all calls from the old number to the new number... you will fight too hard to fix this... stir shaken has your number on the fraud and scam list...

It takes forever for this to update if at all on other providers systems... good luck..
The provider that you are using for sip is responsible for a large amount of scam calls.. find a local carrier thats safe.. your sip is provided by an outside country...
Enjoy other governments and others who will use your number to scam our people...

It seems to be a read only field per the manual. Haven't ever looked this one before.
