Hello fellow Tek-Tips Techs,
I wonder if anyone knew of a way to find out (off of the phone) easily what IP address is assigned to an IP phone that obtained it via DHCP(DT800/DT700 Models)? I know you can use IP Phone manager or simply look at the IP address via WebPro/PCPro in 15-01 (Assuming that it is registered) I'm familiar with pressing "Feature 4 and Feature 6" - both of which doesn't tell you the IP Address. In case I go up against a remote situation where that information would be handy, I could walk a customer through on getting that information.

Thanks,

Try pressing and holding the help key. It should bring up options and information.

belevedere,
Nice! Thanks for that! I made a note to do this from now on:
To find an DHCP IP Address that was given to an IP Phone
1) Press and hold the “Help” key (Approximately 2 seconds)
2) Press “2”. - System Information
3) Press “1”. - Network Settings
4) Press the “Down” softkey. - IP Address (DHCP)
5) Note the DHCP IP Address.

Do you know if this is also the case on the DT700 models?

Thanks,
-iron
