After the power done unexpectly, we cannot login to SV8500 via PC PRO anymore. All the IP addresses (LAN 1, LAN 2) of two CPUs are not pingable (no problem with switch or cables).
The Status Leds of both CPUs keep flashing.
Anyone have faced to this same issue? And what should I do to fix this?
Attached video for the current status.

Can you get into it with serial cable? And does it do any call processing?

@Phadobas,
Nope, serial also cannot connect to. All phones work. All features work. The only problem is all IP address are not pingable and system is not accessable.
In Manual, the ON LINE Lamp Flashes fast mean CPU card has no data?
This system has no IP, all Analog and Digital Extensions, Will this system stop working in near future?

Have you tried unplugging the network cables and see if that resets the LAN connections?

If that does not work try plugging into system 0 directly on LAN 2 and see if you can connect.

If that does not fix it sometimes the old 2400/SV8500/SV9500 systems need to be powered down completely and restarted. Power off reset. The bad part is you can't do a graceful shut down.

To reset hold down the power button on the CPU. It is to the left of the Compact Flash. If a dual system shut both of them off.
Once it is down shut off both power supplies to the CPUs. Then power off the TSW and all PIMs in order 0-7

Wait the normal minute or 2 and then restart
Turn on the TSW and PIMs in order then power on the CPUs

Hope for the best. If that works follow it up with a backup of the database and then a graceful reset of the CPU. (power off reset again)

If that failed to work you need to put it into off line mode (system will reboot and all call processing will stop)

Mode switch piano key 1 "On"

This sets the default IP Address on the CPU Lan 1 to 192.168.0.2/24

From there you can access the telephony Server Maintenance Menu by directly connecting to LAN 1. (one Cpu at a time)

You should be able to see the addresses.

if that fails you just might need to flash the compact flash cards and reload a backup.

*** one more tidbit ****

Sometimes on a reset a CPU might not boot. It will look like it there is no power going to it. You will think the CPU is shot. Fear not there is a simple fix.

Power off the CPU. Remove the CPU and remove the memory. Wait with the memory out of the CPU for a full 5 minutes.

Reinstall the memory and put it back into the CPU. Power the system on and it should boot.

That one bit me once. I though the CPU had died. Bob at NTAC helped me get that one fixed.

Good luck

Hi DoubleDriveLine,
Thank you so much for your detail sharing.
Actually, after the power shortage problem, the system couldn't boot up. many times power off and then power on the system but not successful.
Then we removed CPUs, removed CFs, removed RAMs, check the Switch... and luckily, after few hours trying, the system comes up but not really back to normal.
All cards Up, extensions work but cannot access system anymore - all the IP addresses cannot ping (no problem with the network). Connect directly also cannot.
I'm planning to do reinstall the CF but quite risky as the system still in operation.

It is really strange that both CPUs are doing that.

Since it is on CPU 0 try shutting down CPU 0 and see if CPU 1 takes over and the addresses work.

I can see one CPU having the issue with the network but both is strange.

If that is the case you can clone the flash card on CPU 1 and restore it to CPU 0 with no problems.

I'm planning to clone the existing NEC CF to new 3rd party CF.
Is there any Windows software support clone bootable CF to another?

You want to use NEC's tool

NEC USB Compact Flash Tool version 1.0.9 is the latest. It is on Disk 4 of SV9500 DVD. I can't remember which disk it might be on the old SV8500 disks. It is with the same installer that installs PC Pro.

You can backup the existing CF card to an image file. I would copy both cards and restore from CPU 1s flash card.

You would use the same tool to restore the image to your new CF card.

Good luck.

The software disk provides for APAC Market has no NEC USB Compact Flash Tool. According to NEC Manual, its only for North America.

Well that stinks

Short of using that program I am not sure of the best path to go.
