Hi all,

I am looking for a way of setting up an extension on the NEC SV8300 system to automatically dial a specified number on handset pickup if this is at all possible?

If not I can program a button to ring the number I want but then I want to restrict this handset to only be able to ring that number is this possible?

If not, when dialling the external line digit, is it possible to pass this call to a manned switchboard who can redirect the call for that person?

Many thanks in advance for any answers.

If at 1st you don't succeed then I guess your i the right place to ask why! :p

You can set the station up as a hot line to a system speed dial number. Pre program the system speed dial number with the number you want dialed. Then when you lift the handset it will dial only that number.
Refer to Hot Line programming in the feature programming manual.

Excellent belevedere that was just what I was after :)

I'm a happy techie again now :)
