Just want to clarify before I start that I am not an expert in the phone system management category as I pretty much inherited the responsibility. Our system at our plant has run pretty smoothly over the past 3-4 years, adding extensions, etc. However, I had a brand new phone line installed to the system about 2 months ago and cannot figure out the issue.
While trying to dial an external phone number, I dial "9" first to allow the phone to dial out of the plant. The phone allows this, however when you begin to dial digits the LCD registers maybe 1 or 2 numbers than resets itself and gives a busy tone. The phone also has issues receiving external calls as it will not allow the user to answer the call. I have worked with install company to have them check the programming and dissect what may be different for this extension but to no avail. If anyone has any information that can help me out is much appreciated!
