NEC speakerphone question

Hello,

I've got a customer with an older NEC system. It's an NEC Electra Professional. They presently have ETW-16DC-2 phone sets. Apparently this model doesn't have full speakerphone. You can hear the called party through the phone's speaker but have to lift and speak into the handset in order to speak back to them.
Question: what model is a full speakerphone and can I simply replace the existing phone with a full speakerphone or is programming also involved?

You need to allow the speakerphone function in command 4-29. Newer software has it defaulted on, but the older software does not.
