Hi,

I have a NEC SL1100 and want to set it up (initially) on an external PSTN as CO1. It has a default configuration out of the box. The PBX will ring on inbound calls, but when I select the outbound line I get a busy tone. Can you advise if there's some trunk setup I need to perform in order that it knows there's a PSTN on CO1? Possibly it should detect it but is failing to recognise the UK dial tones?

Please advise - can't believe it's hugely complex.

I've setup Panasonic PBX's and Asterisk previously.. never NEC!

Thx,

Russ.

It should, at default place the trunks in route 1 with dial 9 access for outbound. It should also at default place the trunks under a line key. At least that is how it is in the US systems.
Check MB's
14-05 for trunk to trunk route
11-01 for digit 9 trunk access
15-07 for trunk 1 on line key 1
