NEC SL1100 software update 3.01 to 7.1

Hi there,

I want to upgrade the software of a SL1100 i have to version 7.1
But i have read thread thread937-1783958 from Lectrician. I should upgrade first to version 6.11 to avoid problems. Does anyone know a link to download this 6.11 software version? Are there any differences in US of EU versions?

I have done many direct upgrades. You need to upgrade PCPRo first Old versions cannot log into new software. Note, if the users get their VM from the outside, they will need to put a password into their mailbox. NEC added security measures. Otherwise you will hear' "that mailbox does not exist".
Obviously get a dbase back up first.
 
Okay thx, i will try this. I have different versions of PCPro (6 and 7), but i cannot connect. it says's: "Fatal error: cannot load database schema file. Your PCPro installation may be corrupt". I have read in a manual that i should use the VOIPDB port instead of the cpu port for PCPro if a VOIPDB is installed. I do not know if that is the cause of the problem.
 
you can check the IP Address of the system via a phone MENU 96. If a VoIPDB is installed use that, but it is possible to use the LAN port also but not the preferred option. Upgrade your PC Pro, you need to uninstall the old version.

This error means your version of PCPro is too old to connect to the system verson of software. Upgrade your PCPro. If a VoIPdb is installed, then you must connect to it. You need to uninstall the old version of PCPro by using the Windows program uninstall process.
 
This week a had a opportunity to got to the customers site. I tried to connect to the VoipDB lan port (is firewall DMZ), but no luck. Still the same error. I have tried Pc Pro version 7.01 (should be new enough?), but i also found version 6.0, no luck either. Could the PC Pro version be to new? Because the software is really old, version 3.01. Perhaps back then there was only version 4 or 5 to connect with? Perhaps i should use a EU version of the Pc Pro software?
 
Log in using web pro and confirm the software version. Its possible to downgrade, if you have a memdb installed remove it and upgrade to v7.
 
From any phone, press MENU 93 to see version level. MENU 96 show IP addresses. Also try a system reboot, then try to log in again.
 
Thank you for the suggestions, i will try it. I havent used MENU 93 option yet, but in WebPro it says:
WebPro: 3.00
Main Software: 03.01
