Hi,

In UK & with the advised shutting down of ISDN (albeit some years off) I thought make the move sooner rather than later.

Currently only 2 lines 3 numbers (ISDN2e) still need local PBX, nearly all analogue extensions, dect phones etc only 1 MLT.

I am awaiting card from ebay (I hope it works!) and have 3 VOIP trial numbers to test before switch over but as not had to program since initial set up about 6 years ago so very rusty & whilst without the card can't really test but like a little advance prep.

Want to have both installed at same time until sure works & initiate ISDN number swap.

Will I be able to install the VOIP daughter card without messing up existing operation.

Will I be able to pretty much change the incoming lines from the ISDN to SIP & the extensions operate as before or is there a LOT of configuring to do
Any advise?

Should I be able to set up the 3 different VOIP numbers on SIP and have the ISDN working at the same time or do the lines in have to be one or the other.
Would like to have the existing setup working constantly while I test the VOIP.
I could have two Configurations and upload etc as required but not ideal.

I guess there are probably hundreds of variations depending on my setup and requirements but any guidance would be appreciated.

2nd question & I may start a new thread.
I don't really want the OEM voice mail or inmail.
Currently use a Dialogic usb ISDN modem & PC based RVS-Com voicemail software. Much easier & clearer looking & playing on a PC. I can dial into it also. I don't want to have to use a MLT.

I was making the assumption that the ISDN extension may not work when on SIP, perhaps it will in which case may continue but..
prefer to use VOIP PC based voicemail anyway as current very old hardware & software.
Specifically testing IVM answering attendant but there are others.

However, currently use DDI routing, IRG Transfer so when no answer after 20 seconds on the main trunk
this then calls a group inc extension 21 where I have the ISDN USB modem plugged & takes over.

IRG transfer seems to be only to groups &/or extension numbers & as far as I can tell, not phone numbers.

As I currently have no idea at all how the SL1100 distributes to VOIP phones I am not sure how I can transfer to IVM which will probably have its own number.
Can a no answer be transferred to an external number, worst case, if I can't do it internally.

Sorry very rambling questions & actually as I type highlighting my ignorance of VOIP, especially in the environment of a pbx, to myself.

If anyone can give some broad advise on my poorly posed questions I would be grateful.

Many thanks In Advance.

PS. Bit annoyed that the VOIP card is not available anymore, I know can't support for ever but 6 years, Really don't want the expense of a whole new SL2100 and especially the full reprogramming & time.

The VoIP db can be installed. Once it is installed, you need to set your IP address' in 10-12-09 and a second one in 84-26, both static. Connect to the network with the VoIP db. Once installed and after you power up it will take a few minutes for it to be recognized. Be patient.
When setting up SIP trunks, get a test number so you can test incoming and outgoing before any numbers are ported.
Once installed they will automatically be in route 1 along with your PRI trunks. Use direct trunk select or set a button with the SIP trunk on it for testing.
Set then up as DID in 22-02. It will use the same routing tables as the PRI in 22-11.
