I have an odd issue with a new NEC SL1100 system. Line 2 when in use can be accessed from line 3 at other extensions. The person calling in can be heard and the person on the other extension is very faint. I am thinking there is a short between two of the lines but the wiring has been checked all the way to the LEC fuse block. At this point we are requesting a vendor meet with the local phone company. I just am wondering if there is anything in the phone system that can cause this.
