Can 2 of these systems be linked via T-1? Im looking to have station dialing and transfer trunk calls from one system to the other. I dont need the details just need to know if the concept is viable. Thanks!

Connect using Tie lines. Give the T1 an access code of 8, then dial the extension number. So if you wanted to call out of the other switch, dial 8 then 9 and the number.

With a t1, you need a dti card (with clock) or a tli card with a csu/em module combo. First one is easiest, second is cheaper. Order the t1 as esf/b8zs/loop start. Program them for 2nd dial tone and in their own trunk group. When you access the trunk group, you will hear dial tone from the distant switch. You'll have to read up on numbering plans....too much to go into here.

And oh yes, it is viable.
