Setting up my first (and I hope my last) NEC KSU, an Electra Elite 192, with a 4-port DVM. My last task is to get the voicemail working. When I started today, incoming calls rang on all the phones (like they were supposed to) but the auto-attendant didn't pick up. Turned out the KSU thought it was on the wrong port. So I fixed that, and now the AA answered calls, but none of the phones rang.

What I want the AA to do is just stand there for about 4 rings (while the KSU rings the phones at people's desks) and pick up only if no one answers.

Thanks.

you need to set delay answer on the trunks. options are (none, 10sec, 20sec,30sec) so if your in the MAT programming its under -basic>trunks. in CAT its LK3 I think for trunks then scroll down and it should be in the second data 40's (42 or 43 I think) don't have a manual infront of me to verify.

Thanks, but . . .
It looks like the software version I have here doesn't have anything in those memory locations. It looks like I have release version 3.00 -- is that plausible?

Use Memory Block 3-42 (DIT Assignment) to assign Day Mode direct trunk termination to a station.

Use Memory Block 3-43 (ANA Assignment) to assign Night Mode direct trunk termination to a station.

Use Memory Block 3-61 (DIT/ANA Delay Answer Time Selection) to
determine the time (default: 0s) an incoming call rings before changing to a DIT call (System Software S4000 or higher).
