Have an Nec 2000 IVS and a station that has a speed dial assigned to a key that I would like to clear any help would be appriciated. looking for a quick code so I do not have to go to site. I had end user try Conf and key and then changing the number but that did not work.

To the best of my knowledge, I would say a site visit is required. If that sequence doesn't work, it may be that the user isn't allowed to change the entries or that it is actually a system speed dial. You need to find out what the key is programmed as!

Why can't you access the system remotely?

In CMD 73, where the station speed dial buffers are assigned, you can restrict the user from changing the number stored.
EX: 73>2112>000002 = 20 speed dial buffers that the user can program.
EX: 73>2112>000102 = 20 speed dial buffers that the use cannot program. The numbers would have to be programmed by the MAT.

As belvedere says with one proviso!

One user could be set to 100102 as in the example given or multiple stations could be set the same and share the same speed dials. It is also possible to have multiple stations sharing the same speed dials as above but with one of them set to 100002. This would then be the controlling station which can change entries for all users!

Thanks you guys for the quick posts I ended up going to site since I am not to well versed on the 2000 programming. I was able to change the key buy using CONF key and then pressing the DSS key and then entering a new number which worked guess they might have been not doing it correctly again thanks for all your guys help!!!
