I want to connect an AVST voicemail system to an NEC NEAX 2000 IVS. I know I can do it using analog stations and MCI, but there is also a T-1 interface option in the AVST server. The T-1 interface specs are:

Framing:

D4, or Superframe (SF)

Line Coding:

AMI or B8ZS

Supervisory signal:

--- 2- or 4-wire E&M - wink-start E&M signaling is the default and recommended protocol; immediate-start E&M requires manual configuration.

- or -

--- FXS - immediate-start FXS signaling requires manual configuration.

Can I use the 24DTA-A card or is there another card that will accomplish this? Thanks for any help.

Sounds like a very expensive way of connecting a voicemail. Have you compared the price of the two options?
