Hello,

I have an NEC NEAX 2000 IPS and a large number of handsets, all I need to do is get a digital extension card slot assigned and have a single digital extension working.

If anyone can tell me how to do this and how the socket will need to be set up, that would be very much appreciated.

(I have a PN-8DLCP in slot one, and pair one from LTC0 over 2&5 at the moment, I'm getting power to the extension but no data)

1. verify that the CPU card is a CP 24-( ).
2. set the sense wheel switch on the CPU to the "C" position.
3. press the black push button reset on the CPU and release it.
4. wait for the alarm light to come on the power supply.
5. set the sense wheel back to "0", then wait.
The system should come up with a default program. Cross connect the first pair on that cable to a phone.
NOTE: older CPU versions (CP-14, CP-00, CP-03) will lose their registration numbers with this process. The CP-24 will not.
