Hi-

I have this old NEC Mark II system that I have to keep working for a few more months. My location has several 16 button Dterm II display phonesets, but mostly has 6-button non-display units.

The problem is that I have a bunch of spares of the 16 button units, and I'd like to use them to replace some broken 6-button units. I was hoping I could just swap them out and the system would figure it out, but I'm not that lucky.

Is there an easy way to get the system to recognize these phones, or am I going to need NEC administrative software or something like that? I don't want to invest much time, effort, or money because the system will be replaced soon, but I'd love to use these 16-button phones for a while.

thanks very much,
