Morning,

does anyone know the pinouts for the mat cable. I have a RS RVS CA-A cable, which is for smdr. The manual refers to a RS RVS CA-T cable. I can't get my matworx program to talk to the system and I'm assuming that this cable is the issue.

Is there anyone out there that has had the same experience and can shed some light on this issue.

Does anyone have a copy of the cable pin outs and I shall modify my cable.

One end is the nec plug and the other end is a dB9.

Thanks in advance.

Damn I must admit I never documented the pinouts when I made my cable. But the problem is making up the other end. I made my lead set to enable one PC connection to allow a patch cable to connect (via another adaptor) to any other system. So I always have one PC connector and all the other systems connect via a custom connector at the other end! The problem is some of the systems require straps between pins so I have only ever built a lead set where I have had access to existing working leads.

If no one else can help, I might be able to give you pin to pin connections but I would have to bus them out.

I also have a custom cable made.

The installation manual has some cable specs , I seem to remember that one of them also works as a mat cable , have you tried the RSVS with standard db25-db9 convertor?

I have uploaded the installation manual to the link provided.

Dont forget the modem switch neads to be left for local (NOT right for remote)to talk to the cpu locally if you are connecting with the top port on the CPU.

Thanks Billz66, had a look through the manuals but no luck. Got an reply email from NEC today and they have one so I will not bother with it and simply buy one.
Thanks again.

Thanks ozziegeorge, I have used the adaptor but with no luck. I think from memory I also used a null modem cable but to no avail. The switch on the cpu was set for local but that has made me think again about the switch, did I really check the switch. I will have to go onsite and check again. I do however think I will order a cable from NEC.
Thanks again.
