Hi everyone,
A client called me today saying that one of their digital phone NEC DTZ-24D-3 Black Digital is not working.
What they told me about the phone is, you see the extension 204 on it, but when you dial the number it doesn't ring, you do hear ringing in the handset of the phone you are using, but ext 204 does not ring and volume is up and you don't see a missed call on the screen also.
Also when they pick up the handset (204) there is no tone, they said it is connect to the handset port.
If they press speaker there is a tone but not it doesn't sound normal like the other ones.
If you activate call forward on ext 204 using *21*number#, and you dial 204 from another phone, it will ring to that extension that it was forwarded to.
When you press speaker and dial an internal number, they see ext 250 appear on it, like it is forward to something, even though they disabled it using #21#
I suspect it has something to do with forwarding and I will go there tomorrow
They replaced the hand set and the phone it self with a working phone, but it had the same results and the phone is working when connected to a new location.
Might anyone have an idea why the phone might not have a dial tone and also that ext 250 number?
