What is the call forward busy no answer feature code? The user guide only shows CFW/All. Also, which program in the KSU determines the number of rings for the N/A timing?
I have a group of phones at a car dealer that are ringing 4 times and then call forwarding to an old cell phone that is no longer in use, ringing there a bunch of times, and then going to a full mailbox on the cell.
I need to know what program to use to remove this forwarding. Again, it is not just one phone, but the whole service department. About 8 phones, none of them have voice mailboxes and there is no auto attendant at this time.
Everyone has DIDs. The main phone numbers do not go to this old cell, only the DID numbers for the sets. I hope that makes sense.
Also, when the voicemail DN is dialed and the user does not have a mailbox, they hear the greeting from another company. I realize that the tech that sold them this system years ago, must have sold them a used VM system and never even bothered to default the system and get rid of the old info. Wow. So they are a car lot and hearing auto attendant greetings from a collection agency! But this company does not use an auto attendant at all, only individual mailboxes. But I can't even get into the system to add mailboxes. No one knows the passwords. What a nightmare.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

The default call forward busy/no answer code is 43 to set and 44 to cancel.
The default VM log in is either nec or $nec. If those options do not work then you need someone to tell you what it was change to.
The call forward no answer setting is in MB 1-2-22. The options are;
Settings
LK 1 LK 2 LK 3 LK 4

4s 8s 12s 18s
LK 5 LK 6 LK 7 LK 8
24s 30s 60s

Great, thanks. Will try this stuff tomorrow. FYI, I am using a telset, not a laptop. I assume you are referring to pc programming with the $nec possibility?

How do I find out which extensions are allowed to access voice mail system admin?
How do I assign pickup groups? I can't find anything like that in the manual. What are pickup groups called in NEC speak?
If all CAP lines are busy, customer cannot make an outgoing call. Not sure I even know where to start on that one.
Appreciate the help. I found the correct user guide for the phones, had the wrong one. All of your advice worked.
Thanks.

1. In the mailbox access options there is one for administration. If it is checked then that user has admin rights.
2. Call pick up groups follow tenant groups. Everyone is in tenant 1 unless programmed otherwise. The default pick up code is 6*.
3. If all cap keys are busy then you need to assign more cap keys. MB 4-12 and 4-43.

Try downloading a features and specs manual. It shows you how to program up features.

Great, thanks. I am getting these people running more efficiently thanks to your help.
