NEC Elite IPK---cannot CFW All calls on one extension

I am having a wierd problem. I have one set, Extension 742 that needs to have all calls forwarded to another extension, 740 temporarily until a new employee is hired. I cannot get the damn thing to forward/dnd!!
I have had trouble with the forwarding on this extension in the past also.
If I do a SPEAKER 43 XXX SPEAKER to CFB/NA to the other extension, it doesn't work.
If I do a SPEAKER 47 740 SPEAKER to CFW ALL/DND to 740, it just will not forward.
The user guide said to use FEATURE 60 XXX FEATURE, but I only get ERROR when I try that.
I make sure to cancel any previous forwarding first.
What's confusing me is that there were a few extensions I could CFW ALL to from that phone, but some I could not. What the ???
When you do the CFW ALL, the extension you FWD to has to pick up to confirm, right? I did that, but I could not get it to FWD ALL.
What am I doing wrong??

Sounds like you are doing it right. I would check MB 4-10 for any duplicate extensions. This system did not block that from happening. If you find any, clear them and you may need to do a reset. Be careful with a reset on that older system as the battery on the CPU may not hold the program.

I have inventoried the extensions and ports in MB 4-10 a couple of times recently, I don't see any duplicates. Terrified of a reset.
Ok, thanks, there has to be a reason.
I thought it might have to do with the programming on the extension you are trying to FORWARD TO.?

I would verify the number plan. I seem to remember 7XX used for features. Make sure it's set properly for extension use in MB 1-1-46/47/48.
