System Build:

Elite 192, S9700
8 Analog CO
50 Stations
VMS/VMP U40, 4 Port

Issue:

Currently have CO7 set to DIT to a users station. This allows the call to bypass the receptionist and directly land in voicemail if the person is not at their desk.

The user want to change it to ring simultaneously at 3 stations, with the same CFBNA to Voicemail.

The Twist:
This area operates outside 'normal' hours and needs to work the same when the receptionist switches to night mode.

Partial Solution:
Set ring preference on other extensions to R on CO7 for both day and night modes.

Set DIT delay on CO7 to allow for a few rings at the 3 stations. DIT takes over and then just rings the solo station until CFBNA sends to VM.

Issue:
In night mode, DIT becomes ANA and does not appear to have delay settings. Since ANA terminates the call to a single station, the other stations do not ring.

Notes:
Looking for the most efficient means to accomplish this. Possible options seem to be CAP/CAR, Hunt Group, ACD/UCD.

ACD/UCD is out as the system does not have ACD/UCD hardware.

Have not ever configured hunt groups on NEC nor CAP/CAR keys. Would prefer to do this the right way the first time.

Thanks,

-John

You pretty much have it figured out. If you want it to ring the same day and night I would . . . .

Create a CAR Key in 1-2-04 and 4-10
Assign the CAR Key to all phones in 4-12 and make the key ring in 4-37 & 4-38 for night
CFNA the CAR to VM by dialing 45 + "CAR #" + "VM EXT"
Then simply DIT immediate CO7 to the CAR
Make the mailbox # = the CAR

What I do most of the time for this type of setup is to make the mailbox a TBOX of the person responsible for getting the message. This way they don't have to check two mailboxes. If multiple people need to check the box you can make it a standard "mailbox/suscriber" and then place a "mailbox" key on a seperate button. (I am not sure if this feature is available on 9700 - It may only be an IPK feature, but I can check if needed)
