Where can one find good documentation on how to program the NEC Elite 192? I have the installation guide and "programming" manual but it just lists all the memory blocks. I want a book that talks about the actual programming (or find a class that teaches it). I've done many other PBX systems and want to add NEC to my list. ie: here is how you add a phone, here is how to program a cap, car, what ever. I know how to get into programming and have added a few phones, changes users names, programmed a few buttons, but I'm just guessing at a lot of it so far (and copying other phones that work for now) but having a major issue adding requested features or VM changes.

You may want to purchase the software for $20 750458 - IPK SAT FOR TECHNICIANS and work through the wizards. By the way, you are not up on the latest. The programming for the Elite has changed dramatically. It will not pay for you to learn the 192. Eitherway, I disagree with your philosophy. You should become authorized for the products you sell. Just the tit bit of info I just gave you proves the point.

Understood, but I have several clients with nec 192 so I need to learn the 192. I have no problem becoming authorised but I would need a larger installed base to think about that.

Thanks

Get certified in the IPK. You can even do that online with the NEC training center in Dallas.

The stuff you learn on the IPK will apply to the 192... the 192 just doesn't have all the features of the IPK. However, trunking, LCR, all that will still apply.

Thanks. I like that suggestion. I will definately look into that. If you have a link that would help.

If you want to do the 192, make sure you do NOT select the IPKII. It is NOTHING like the 192, 48 or IPK.

Did you ever find the manuals for the 192. I am also just starting to work on the 192. Have a new client with a large system about 50 stations and voice mail. I work Partner most of the time.

If you found a link for the install and programming manuals I would appreciate it if you could post it.

Thanks!
