NEC Electra Elite 48 with VMS

Ok,

Here is the info and scenario, customer has an old Elite 48 with VMS Mail system. Extension 102, the problem is message delivery keeps calling out every hour, whether there is a new message or not. We tried to reset mailbox and delete the mailbox through the phone administration.

I cannot figure out why this is happening and with no experience with this system I am asking you guys for help. If anyone can, I would appreciate it.

My only experience is with the newer products, (Aspire,UX5000 and SV8100 with IntraMail/InMail), other experience Avaya IP Office, Partner
 
Check the mailbox to see if it is allowed access to the $PM option. It may be part of the operators access options. It also may have been set up to out dial until the message has been collected.
