Hello,

I have a customer that has a NEC Electra Elite 48 and plans to add "a card and some sets" to their system this week. I am assuming that the card he is adding is for station ports, but I haven't gottten a response from him about that.

Is there anything special I need to do in order to back up the current config before I power down to add the card?

Does anyone know where I can get the pinout of the system?

I am a Nortel/Avaya guy, never really had to do anything too major to a NEC... Anyone interested in earning a few extra bucks by helping me through this over the phone? Do you recommend me purchasing the software?

thanks for your help!

Matt

First off you don't need to power off the cabinet to add a station card. Cards pin out in order, if you look in the cabinet where the tails plug in it shows which slots are on which tail. 8 ports per slot 3 slots per tail.
