I am a just a basic administrator for our small business phone system so not a lot of experience in the programming aspect. We have the NEC DTU-16D-2(BK) Electra and one of the phones in the conference room has suddenly stopped ringing. It lights up, the intercom buzzer rings, but it no longer rings for incoming calls. I have swapped out phones, checked the volume, etc. Any help would be appreciated!

If it rings for internal calls then the ringer and phone are probably good. Has anyone been there to do any programming? Also make sure the system is in day mode. If it's in night mode and that phone is not programmed to ring at night, it won't ring. Which NEC system do you have?

Tried "Feature*69*Feature" no luck. I have worked on programming the main switch board voicemail set up etc.

Check MB 4-01 (day) + 4-02 (night) for ringing set up. Press FNC (Feature) + 4 to see what telephone port it is. Go into program mode and then press line key 4. It will bring you to day mode ringing. Type in the telephone port number to jump to that telephone port. Green LED on a line key represents immediate ring, red = delayed ring. Each button represents the trunk number. Line key 1 = trunk 1, etc.
See for a programming manual. Electra Professional II, or advanced, Electra Elite or IPK, not IPK-II.
