Nec DTL-8R-1 Cordless Not Connecting to PBX

I Registered my Cordless Phone to the base and on the screen it shows Disconnect. When I press talk it says aquiring link and goes back to showing Disconnect.
I don't think the base is recognized by the PBX because I can plug a digital station directly to the PBX and it comes up fine but when I plug the station into the base unit it does not come up. I have tried 3 different bases but I get the same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated?

I got it! I was connecting directly to the KSU port which was creating a polarity problem but once I used the connection block used on DSX and SL1100/2100 syatems, it came right up.
