NEC DT700 (IP Phone at remote location)goes idle in 5 minutes. It starts to show "log off" on display screen with Exit shown bottom right. If you press 'Exit' it reconnects after working through the authentication process. I've double checked the Site to Site VPN configuration (2 sonicwalls), keep alive features etc. PBX behind primary location is a SV8100. All other features work perfectly when is connected. Appreciate any help.
Thanks
Mark

Hi!
Please check, if it happens when e.G. the network connection restarts fo some reason.
Otherwise do a wireshark trace of the DT700 to get information about the innitiator of the "log off".
Just to be sure, did you update the system and the phone to Release 7 / 5?

Greetings

Our network administrators use a cisco feature that auto disables a port meant for a pc in exactly 5 min. When ever we convert that port for an IP phone we have to remind them to take that feature off. Or the phone logs out in 5 min.
