Trying to connect (2) VoIP lines from a BGW210-700 to an NES DSX-80 digital phone system. Both lines ring inbound without any problems. The problem occurs with outbound calling. Most of the time when line (1) is selected for an (outbound) call, you get normal dial tone and the call completes. Randomly when selecting line (1) you will hear a high frequency-interrupted tone that when hook-switched, changes to normal dial tone. Then the call can be successfully completed.
Line (2), while also behaving properly with inbound calls, always has the interrupted tone that remains even after a hook-switch on any attempted outbound call. It's probably the same problem as line (1) just accentuated due to system level and/or impedance variables.
Anyone know if the AT&T gateway has any configurable line-seizure parameters? The NEC box requires analog loop-start. All I got from AT&T is "it all looks good from our end".
Thanks.
