Please assist with this issue.
Suddenly some nec digital phones are displaying ------(1)------- then -----(2)------ and that is it. No tone nothing. When replaced with analog phone dis play is there but there's no tone.

PBX is SL1000. What could be the issue?

Extension port could be burned out or voice pair of the cable is disconnected.

First check the digital phone by plugging directly to the pabx (any extension port between port1 and port24 can use. Please check this using few ports.

If the digital phone works fine, then problem is on the wiring, wall outlet, or rosette box.

I guess problem is on wiring.
Thanks

Sl 1100 uses Rj61 terminations (four phones from one 8P8c (rj45) connector so plugging the phone directly into the KSU will not necessarily test the port. Whilst Chansbro is trying to help, he/she is muddying the waters because the SL1100 is a digital system and doesn't have a dedicated voice pair!

You need the services of a qualified tech, contact your local vendor (it may be a faulty card or phones but I doubt it being cabling as you are getting displayed information)!

The first post is referring to the SL1000 which is similar to the previous XN120 in being hybrid, allowing both SLT analogue phones and digital stations on every extension port. There are ports per extension too. It is not referring to the SL1100 (which has separate digital and analogue ports, with four extensions per RJ45).

Sorry, misread the system type and we don't have the SL1000 here in Oz!

Whilst it is available here, I have yet to see one installed - As a natural progression from the XN120, I thought there may be more out there.

I thought perhaps it was a mis-read :)
