Hi Everyone,

I have decided to install 2 spare 8DLCL cards to allow for a couple of new extensions. These extensions would use Dterm Seriesi phones.

This is the scenario : I do have 3 slots remaining in the IPS2000 for these digital cards so that is ok. After plugging in one of the cards in PIM 2 LT07, I then through Martworx (MOC) wrote a new extension on a available LEN using Command 14.However, I have noticed the following. After plugging in the card ,4 of the 8 indicators on the card started blinking red.Does this mean that only 4 LENS are usable? I finally connected a dterm seriesi phone on the MDF just to check and the readout on the phone is stuck at "initializing".There is no dial tone whatsoever. Am I missing something? I have not en-counted this before when changing or writing new extension for analogue phones. Can someone explain?
Would really appreciate any help

Thanks.

Gille.

Ok so which four LEDs are flashing, the first four or the last four? If it is the first four, what cards are in the slots to the right? Did you prefix the extension number with F in cmd 14?

The blinking leds are the last 4 from the top down. And the 2 furthest cards on the right are a register card (8RSTG) and a FP card (CP15) . I have not prefixed the extension with F.

Thanks.

Gille.

Ok so the first four are already programmed but if they are digitals and not prefixed with an F they won't work.

The reason I asked about the cards to the right is that it is possible to split slots into 4 port slots (slots 04 to 07) and they are split with slots 08 to 11 IIRC. so it is possible to have a 4 port card in say slot 11 and a 4 port card in slot 07 but if you have a 4 port card in slot 11 and put an 8 port card in slot 07 you will have problems! This feature has got me out of a bind on a number of occasions!
