NEC 8100 COT card question

Hi all,

A question, on the nec 8100 COT card, each port can support 4 pstn lines correct, using the rj45 connector and splitting the utp wires in 4 pairs

Hi just a bit of a clarification here. Normal UTP connections are RJ45 plugs (8P8C) but not an RJ format, they are configured for data connections (can't remember the standard). NEC use RJ61 which is the same 8P8C plug but configured differently (4a,3a,2a,1a,1b.2b.3b.4b) so if you use a preconfigured lead, you will have to have lines 3 and 4 on split pairs.
