That is a question for your hosted VM vender. Typically the VM is connected via serial or IP to the PBX and it sends an MCI packet to and from the PBX which has the MWI data in it. If your old VM used a serial connection or IP connection, then set up hyperterm on the cable or network and capture some packets that may help them out.
