I was wondering if there is a way to block a number from calling into our system. We are a church and have a prayer line manned by little old ladies. We have a man who calls in using vulgar and profane language scaring the poor ladies to death. Apparently, this has been going on a while and I just found out about it today. Once I have his phone number I will report him to the phone company but would like to block it from reaching the extension. Any ideas?

Depending on the revision of the 2000 alternate destinations can be created for an incoming call based on the caller ID. You best bet is to report this call to the authorities they can stop it for good. No matter which way you go you will need to know the number the person is calling from.

Thanks. If and when I get the number I will post again for directions.

I have the number. According to the police I talked to if we file a report he will be arrested. I don't have a problem with that but my pastor would rather just block him. If he calls from another number again then I can file a police report.

So how can I send him into nowhere on my system. I would like the call to autmatically drop or hang up. I can create a mailbox that tells him he is being blocked and if he calls back he will be arrested.

What are the moc commands to do this?

thanks

The Feature your looking for is "CALLER ID CLASS" its about 10 pages in the manual (2000 Feature Programming Manual) I would suggest you look them up as it might be over complicated trying to post it in the forums. I believe there is a post on this page that will link you to the NEC Manuals.
