What is this card for?

The card is a register/sender card for receving and sending digits. The CPU has this built in but if your system is large enough to warrant it the card is installed.

Thanks for your response. But what is it used for? Can you give me an example?

One example is if you have normal PSTN lines. When you dial out the register card is the one that produces the tones you send to line (DTMF). Also if you have any analogue phones on the system, this is the card that hears and interprets the tones they use to dial with. So basically it is a tone (DTMF) sender reciever.

Thank him with stars. ;)

Just my 2¢

Actually it's a reciever card only. The senders (32 of them) are built into the MP.
The card acts as a reciever for digits sent to the MP from either single line sets or from trunks.
