Been a while since I've worked on replacing a CP24B. Have bad BUS Chip on card causing PIM2 not to work. When replacing the CP24, is the licensing affected? Can NEC still correct or reissue a new license for the system after CP24 replacement?
The licenses are not transferable. I'm pretty sure NEC no longer offers them. You may be relegated to the after market. Do you know what licenses you will need?
Caution; be very careful with ebay CPU's. Most sellers do not list the licenses or whether the CPU has a registration code.
FYI, I may have one in my garage.
Whilst NEC no longer cut new licences, a member of this forum does, I believe, have the ability to cut new lcences. Try starting a thread asking about new licences and you may well get a result.
