HI!

Can anybody assist on how to program a GSM modem to a trunk card of a NEAX2000IPS? The system uses an ISDN line with dial '9' with no NDD/IDD calls.

Incoming call will be routed directly to a specific extension and 3 to 4 phones can only access the GSM line through a dial '9' + mobile number (as we have several mobile area code per public carrier, is there a possibility to create a table of these codes, in the future we would install multiple GSM modems with different mobile services so as for the users to just dial '9' + mobile number and it goes directly to the assigned GSM modem(s).

Thanks very much![bigsmile]

are you referring to a gsm gateway ?

is it an analog gsm gateway ?

if so you can connect it to a cot card same as you would a pstn line , then do routing towards it

if the only trunk card you have is an isdn link then no goood

if you want to only route specific mobiles via it i would suggest using a specific access code rathar than only routing calls to that number or the LCR table will grow substantially

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

and due to an endless stream of MiCollab , MiCC issues
Life would be simpler If only they tested products properly before releasing them .....

As Billz66 has pointed out, If this is a GSM Gateway then we need to know what the interface on it is. This has nothing to do with how your system currently connects to the network as this will become a completely new route. I have come across GSM units that use PSTN type connections and others that use a BRI connection, never come across one using a full ISDN connection!

Like your comment at the end of your post, I once got into strife because the carrier I worked for brought out a new software system and it sucked! they sent out a survey to get peoples opinions and my reply was... It would make more sense if you didn't actually roll out a new system just turn off the old system then ask us what we cant do. That way instead of writing software to do what you think we need, you could then go away and write the software we actually need to do the job! It didn't go down too well with management!

Thanks for the information...

I think I confused you guys with the ISDN, I just wanted to be detailed on the setup. Basically the ISDN is not in anyway connected to the setup, we have the COT card and the GSM is an analog as we connect it to an analog phone.

How do you do the table programming and access as described in my first post.

Again Thanks!!
