NEAX2000IPS How to delete extension number

HI!!!

We've been trying to delete an analog extension number on the NEAX2000IPS but it always gives us a message "wait... busy now".. we've removed the cable connection to this local from the MDF and pulled out the card but with the same result.

When we attached a phone, we can hear an erratic ring.

Any thoughts on this?

Trace the port back to the card, then pull the card out. Try to delete it with the card out. Try using CMD EB2>ext>ccc exe to release it.

I've tried the EB2 command and re-setting the card but I've always had to reset the box to clear that condition.

I believe this MAY happen when a phone is off hook and then unplugged.
