When you dial the ext. # does it go directly to the fax ? If it does, check E600,call forward all.

Thank you for replying. see E600> 1382:none and Yes it got stright to the fax machine

Go to the fax machine and dial any other display phone calling their DID number and it will show in their display.

i did what you said and it shows 1382. when i call my cell phone it displays the phone number people call to get to the switch board. is there some DID command 7600 i can use.?

Usually you're only outpulsing the main number which is why you see it when you dial out from the machine. Generally speaking, this is no big deal.

However, if you want to setup this extension to display it's own number, you're going to have to set up calling number display (you can find instructions in the ISDN manual).

Sounds like you looking for an active DID that rings this fax right?
You can do this by going into MOC and to CM 7601>000~999> and find which block is pointed to 1382.
Hitting the Enter key will step through this very quickly.
Then go to 7600> and scroll through your range of incoming DID's to see which one is pointed to the block previously identified above.
When you see it you then have the DID which hits the fax.

pave35 thank you for your help. the first section i did and i have number xxx. now on the second part of this cm7600 i have no idea what to do there. I am very glad to say i have no idea and never had training and that those of you who have had traing in this are Gods!

Do you know what your DID range is?
Eg XXX-XXX-2514 would be DID 2514. DID's are sold in blocks by the phone company. The above example would fall in the range of 2500~2599 (block of 100 DID's).
If you know what your DID's are you can narrow the search in CM 7600. CM 7600>incoming DID#>conversion block.
Or you can just start with CM 7600>0000> and see which incoming DID is pointed to your conversion block that you have already found. Thats just 9999 numbers you'll have to search through.
If you have only 3 digit DID's you need only look through 000~999.
Hope this helps.
